Synopsis

Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, Moonrise Kingdom tells the story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. Hard for me to really feel for the characters or the story. On the slower side in the beginning, which is amplified when you’re watching on your phone and on stairmaster. Has the illusion of many layers but felt like I had to grasp at straws. Overall, it was cute and funny and visually nice
