<i>A man once loved a flower so much that all he did was water it and watch it grow</i>….similarly the beauty of this film lies in the depth of love portrayed by Mia and Sebastian.  <b>Mia: “I’m always gonna love you.” Sebastian: “I’m always gonna love you too.” </b> When people say they don’t like the ending then they CLEARLY didn’t pay attention here…it’s bittersweet, yes, but this scene and this concept of love deeper than a relationship is what makes this movie a true masterpiece.

Cheating theatre daughter or insufferable “music is life” son?  The artificial sound stage dreamscape-y part at the end felt very much like a love letter to Hollywood. Very Singing in the Rain esque (when Gene Kelly is singing You Were Meant For Me). Literally the best part of the movie. Saved it from a 3.0 star

I think this is unashamedly one of my favourite movies. 10/10 musical composition and acting. They were robbed of that Oscar. No shade to Moonlight, they deserved it too. Simply speaking, it’s a fantastic watch
