Synopsis

Life. Family. Love.

37-year-old Italian-American widow Loretta Castorini believes she is unlucky in love, and so accepts a marriage proposal from her boyfriend Johnny, even though she doesn't love him. When she meets his estranged younger brother Ronny, an emotional and passionate man, she finds herself drawn to him. She tries to resist, but Ronny, who blames his brother for the loss of his hand, has no scruples about aggressively pursuing her while Johnny is out of the country. As Loretta falls for Ronny, she learns that she's not the only one in her family with a secret romance.

This movie is truly about nothing, has nothing to say except Italians and family. I dug it, but it’s not a masterpiece. Hair and makeup for Cher was incredible, and it was a fun watch. Hijincks the movie

Crazy. . . . Loretta being a lonely woman, thinking she has no luck and then meeting someone so perfect for her is just crazy. They fall in love without even really realizing it because it was so instantaneous and flawless, a fantastic performance from both sides. Moonstruck is a remarkable name for this film because it really hits the nail on the head.
