HeyCarp9.8August 11, 2026I think this is the best Marvel movie to date. The movie is fun, has great action, it's funny, but doesn't forget to add a little drama in the mix, and it's well-paced. This is definitely an origin film, yet it doesn't feel like one. Most origin films feel the need to spend the first 30 minutes setting up the protagonist's life before becoming the hero. Then you have another 30 minutes showing them learning who they are and how their powers have changed them. Leaving you roughly an hour for somewhat of a plot. Guardians pulls your right into the plot of the movie yet in the end you feel like you understand these characters. This is because they sprinkle backstory throughout the entire film rather than front load it and give it all in the a 30 minute chunk.
