barackobama8.2July 28, 2026It may have gotten a lot of deserved hate but euphoria is that girl. The actors are phenomenal and I loved season 1 as an adult rewatching it. Season 2 I couldn’t really be bothered with but season 3 was intriguing. I am particularly fascinated by Sydney Sweeney. She absolutely killed a role that clearly satirizes and degrades her identity as “Sydney Sweeney” in real life. She is so good at playing it that it makes me wonder if she is even maga or if it’s a hearse. Or if she just enjoys being humiliated? Yes there are some terribly executed things and I am so tired of male directors making bad things happen to women in sex work (another Sean baker stray, but also Kubrick and Scorsese and a million other well known directors) but I feel like euphoria raised me so it will always have a special place in my heart haha
