goldenbrown8.1August 13, 2026Comedians make the best drama actors. Jim Carrey is excellent in this. Great concept, good storytelling. The plot/theme is smt close to home for me, memory, but honestly? Couldn’t bring myself to root for the couple. I liked them individually, (sort of, Clem annoyed me slightly, but I found Joel charming), but together the lows were not better than the highs. Great film and cinema, but it loses a star for characters. Edit: lowered my rating. Objectively great, flat characters for a character driven story is unacceptable
